Textile microfibers “generally” pollute Arctic materials and production news

Arctic-A research team found evidence that ultrafine plastic fibers made of synthetic fibers “generally” pollute the Arctic Ocean. 96 of 97 samples collected throughout the polar regions were found to contain pollutants.
Dr. Peter Rose of the Ocean Smart Conservation Group said: “We are looking at the dominance of Atlantic inputs, which means that North Atlantic textile fiber sources from Europe and North America may be driving pollution in the Arctic Ocean.” The Canadian Association that leads the research.
